How long ago it seems since we were dreaming and planning holidays before the world was thrown into turmoil and we went into lockdown!
Well, take a moment of quiet for yourself as we invite you to share the most amazing two days we had capturing images of our new campaign in our home island of Barbados, at one of my all-time favourites… the stylish The Lone Star Hotel in Mount Standfast, Barbados (www.thelonestar.com).
The epitome of tropical chic, this old Texaco station from the 1940’s was transformed into a sleek beachfront boutique hotel and restaurant which has become ever since the stalwart of the luxury boutique hotel market.
It is more of a luxury retreat and personal sanctuary respite from your
everyday lives and yet still very intimate and exclusive.
This retreat offers a subtle nod to one of the world’s top holiday destinations and does not compromise on its ocean front location. Overlooking a pristine beach located on Barbados’s up market ‘Platinum Coast’ with soft white sand, crystal clear waters where sea turtles congregate in a spot not too far offshore. We shot this campaign in carefully selected colourful and sundrenched spots dotted around this amazing location.
So, we checked into the Cadillac suite for two nights (definitely my favourite room) and started clicking away. It was early wakeup calls but it really isn’t that hard to wake up when the beautiful Caribbean sea is waiting for you with some amazing light coming up from the eastern sunrise.
We continued shooting into the sunsets and on day two after a busy morning, we called it a wrap and headed straight to the sea for a swim!! Here are some of the amazing shots we took and these styles will soon be online in the next few weeks at www.bethandtracie.com.
We want to be able to show what Barbados has to offer and hopefully
we captured that in these images and the very essence of our brand.
